Cllr. Roland Emmas-Williams was re-elected to Ripley Town Council in 2013, after returning to Ripley following a 12 year absence.
“I have had the privilege to serve the residents on Ripley Town Council now for seventeen years, three of them as Mayor.
My previous involvement in the local community saw me being on school governing bodies, secretary of Marehay Cricket Club of which I am now a Life member, trustee of Almshouses and a Director of Midlands Co-operative Society.
I am currently President of Ripley Tuesday Club, Secretary of the Ripley & District Twinning Association, a Trustee of William Holmes Almshouses, member of Midlands Railway Trust, member of Friends of Ripley Greenway, member of Ripley Heritage Group and a School Governor at Ripley Junior School.”
