Helping our community over the winter months
Ripley Town Council recognise that the winter months can be difficult both financially, especially with the cost of living crisis and with social isolation.
Therefore, we have devised 'Warm Wednesdays' at Greenwich Community Sports Hub, 10am until 4pm. We encourage residents to turn the heating off at home for the day and come along and enjoy a warm space with others. You can bring your small hobbies with you, or partake in a game of bingo, quiz or crafts some weeks.
We will also provide you with free hot drinks and a free hot lunch, supplied by Amaze Events.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers to greet you, make you feel welcome and assist you if you need help getting your refreshments.
Everyone is welcome!
We are thankful to Derbyshire County Council, Amber Valley CVS and Foundation Derbyshire for part funding this initiative.
