You are applying for a stall at the Ripley (Derbyshire) Christmas Market 2026 ______________________________________________________________ Please complete the application form below. Deadline for applications is 14th September 2026. We will let you know if your application is successful by the end of September. PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT. An invoice will be sent to you if your application is successful. Date of event: Sunday 22nd November 2026 Time of event: 12 noon - 6.00pm Set up time: no earlier than 10.00am. You will be allocated an arrival time if your application is successful. Venue: Ripley Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3BT.
We will accept bookings for the following stalls:
Crafts / Jewellery
Books
Plants / Flowers / Cut flowers
Artisan bread
Toys
Clothing / shoes
Fresh fruit / vegetables
Art
Candles / soaps
Seasonal gifts
Hot food (not burgers or hot dogs)
Charity stalls - Priority will be given to Ripley Township based charities / not for profit organisations. A maximum of 5 charity stalls will be available for this event.

Application process
1. Complete the application form below.
2. The Ripley Town Council Community Engagement Committee will select which stallholders will be invited to attend the Ripley Christmas Market. We prefer not to duplicate more than one stall selling the same items. No more than five charity stalls will be selected to attend this event. Priority will be given to Ripley Township based charities / not-for-profit groups.
3. The outcome of your application will be communicated to you via email at the end of September 2026. An invoice for payment will be sent to you at the same time. If you haven't paid your invoice by the payment deadline, your stall space will be offered to another business.
Food stall application criteria
We will not be accepting requests for stalls that sell hot food such as hot dogs, burgers, chips nor ice-ream, candy floss etc. Other food stalls will be limited.
We welcome stall applications from exciting, unusual food and drink that can be consumed on the day or taken away to enjoy at home. Stalls with vegetarian and vegan options is welcome.
Information about allergens MUST be displayed on your stall.
You must submit a copy of your hygiene rating from your local authority, food safety and hygience certificate / proof of Food Standards Agency rating, gas safety certificate, generator test certificate (if applicable) and risk assessment, with this application or you can email it to community@ripleytowncouncil.gov.uk
We cannot accept applications from stalls selling alcohol for customers to consume at the event, due to limited space available for customers to consume in a cordoned off area at your stall.
Please note: an electricity supply is not available at this event. Part of the event will be in darkness, therefore we recommend you bring fairy lights / lighting.
Silent / quiet generators are preferred.
Please submit a copy of your Public Liability Insurance with this online application (you can upload a copy of it below).
Food vendors can either bring a gazebo (no bigger than 3m x 3m) or trailer. If you would like to bring a larger gazebo, please consult with Ripley Town Council before submitting your application.
You will be sent setting up details for the event and your allocated arrival time, a week before.
Stalls:
You must bring your own gazebo (no bigger than 3m x 3m). Gazebo must be strong and durable. The ground is hardstanding therefore weights MUST be used on each leg. If you would like to bring a larger gazebo, please consult with Ripley Town Council before submitting your application. If you attend with an unsuitable gazebo or without suitable weights on each leg of your gazebo, you will be asked to vacate the event.
Gazebos, tables, chairs and market stalls will not be provided.

Vehicles can be brought onto Ripley Market Place for unloading only. They have to be removed from Ripley Market Place by 11.00am. Free parking is available in the Amber Valley Borough Council staff car park off Cromford Road. Alternative parking is available in Pay and Display car parks throughout Ripley Town Centre.
Cost of a stall:
Charities - No bigger than 3m x 3m stall - FREE plus a £20.00 refundable deposit*
Own Gazebo (3m x 3m) / Trailer - £30.00 plus a £20.00 refundable deposit*
Own gazebo (6m x 3m) or large trailer - £60.00 plus a £20.00 refundable deposit*
* Deposits will be refunded after the event, by bank transfer. If you don't attend on the day, you will forfeit your deposit.
