Councillor Lyndsay Cox
(Central Ward)

01773 742574

I was born in Heanor and moved to Ripley in 2001. Two years later I was fortunate enough to be elected onto the Town Council. I work in the public sector.

I wanted to become a Councillor to serve the community and I believe in providing public services.

As a member of Friends of Ripley Greenway I regularly test the water in Bottle Brook to monitor the quality and to identify any changes which may have a detrimental effect on the environment. I also take part in other activities on the Greenway to help improve the environment for users.

I help at many events organised by Ripley Town Council but also other community events including Marehay Show and Ripley Music Festival.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, particularly in Derbyshire and camping.
