I was elected as a Town Councillor for Heage in May 2019.

I wanted to be a town Councillor simply to represent my community, to be a voice and supportive role to those people who need it. Our strength is in our community, so in working positively together within that community it encourages a healthier lifestyle.

I sit on the following Ripley Town Council committees:
Financial grants committee
Environmental committee
Ripley Town Council representative of Derwent Valley Mills partnership

I'm married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren, family plays a huge part of my life. I enjoy spending time with my horses and visiting local places of interest like Heage Windmill, I love to cook and garden and have lived in Nether Heage for over 40 years.

I am an active member of Nether Heage NHW (providing information and advice on security and working together with the Neighbourhood watch team).

I am one of the founders and administrator of Nether Heage community news and neighbourhood watch Facebook page (reporting to our villages about all local issues and events).

Member of Bentfield residents association (working with residents to combat anti social behaviour and give support).

Member of the Nether Heage litter pick team (keeping our village litter free and reporting any issues such as broken road signs, etc).

I'm a active supporter and volunteer at Heage windmill.
