I was first elected to Ripley Town Council in 2007. I am also a Councillor for Amber Valley Borough Council and Derbyshire County Council. I was Mayor of Ripley in 2009/10.
I wanted to become a Councillor so I could help make Ripley a better place to live for the residents and listen to their problems. I would also like to help get more successful businesses in Ripley Town Centre and fill empty shops. I would like to try to contain dog fouling issues too.
My interests are the Scouts (I am the local Chairperson), Ripley Hospital League of Friends (Committee Member), Ripley Royal British Legion (member), walking, repairing old cars and DIY.
