We are ideally located in Marehay, Ripley and operate throughout the County in the regions of Amber Valley, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, High Peak, North East Derbyshire and South Derbyshire.

Our staff are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers who help us provide services within the community. We achieve this by carrying out assessments to provide equipment such as hearing loops, personal listeners, TV listeners, door bells, and alarm clocks. We also host social events and activities for our members and provide peer support groups.

Lauren's Legacy

Tel: 07769 250723

Email: laurenslegacy99@gmail.com
Lauren, affectionately known as “Loz” by her family and friends, was an extraordinary daughter, sister, godmother and young woman. Full of energy and known for her love of life, she was the kind of person who lit up every room — with a reputation for partying hard, but also for being incredibly loyal, compassionate and deeply loved.

She was a passionate Sheffield United supporter and completely dedicated to her career as a nurse. In September 2014, Lauren was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma — treatable, but not curable. Over the following five years, she faced every challenge with courage, humour and unwavering strength.

Despite the toll of cancer, Lauren never complained. Instead, she took her family and friends on a rollercoaster of laughter, fundraisers, festivals and meaningful moments. During this time, she raised over £90,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust alongside her beloved motorcycle club, League of Zeal MCC.

Lauren sadly passed away on 26 June 2019, but her legacy lives on through the charity formed in her name — a charity built with love, purpose and a little lemon-zest spirit.

Lauren’s Legacy supports teenagers and young adults aged 13–24 who are currently undergoing cancer treatment.

We grant meaningful wishes that help make a difficult time a little easier — from emotional boosts to practical support.

All donations go directly to those we support. There are no admin costs, no salaries and no overheads. Just pure giving — exactly as Lauren would have wanted.
