Oxford Street Barrier update
Despite Ripley Town Council being assured by Derbyshire County Councillor Trevor Ainsworth that the new bollards will be installed on Oxford Street in Ripley, there is yet again a delay.
Cllr Ainsworth told us that the bollards were on order and due for delivery between February 22nd and March 3rd 2021 and would be installed within the week after delivery. This is not the case. Today (5th March 2021), we have been informed by Derbyshire County Council that the works won't be started until 6th April 2021. This is the earliest the contractor can complete the works.
If all goes to plan, the new bollards will be in place prior to non-essential retail reopening on Monday 12th April 2021.
