I have been a Town Councillor for 9 years (elected in 2011) and in 2019, I was honoured to have been nominated to serve as the Town Mayor to represent the Township. I have continued to be Mayor throughout 2020.

2019 was a very busy year, attending many varied events and meeting many people who devote so much of their time helping others. Due to the Coronavirus, many event had to be cancelled therefore my diary was pretty quiet but I continuted to support local groups as best as I could. As the Mayor I have nominated two local charities that I will raising money for over this year, Ripley Hospital League of Friends and Derbyshire Air Ambulance.

I am involved in various community groups, such as the Friends of Ripley Greenway, ensuring the Greenway is a pleasant and tidy place to enjoy and Ripley Music Festival, the biggest free community event in the township.

Tony is Chair of the following Ripley Town Council Committees:
Allotments
Financial Grants
Certificate of Merit

Tony is also a Councillor for Amber Valley Borough Council, and this year holds the Cabinet Portfolio for Housing and Public Health.
