Our History
Greenwich Community Sports Hub in Ripley, Derbyshire was developed as part of the effort to secure the long-term future of the Nottingham Road recreation ground as a centre for sport and community activity.
Owned by Ripley Town Council and managed by the Ripley Recreation Ground Charity, the hub provides modern facilities for local sports clubs, including Ripley Town Football Club and Butterley United Cricket Club.
The current pavilion and community building, opened in 2019, was designed not only for football and cricket but also as a welcoming venue for meetings, events, classes, and other community activities, helping preserve the site as an important sporting and social hub for Ripley residents.
