Our staff 

We employ five, part time members of staff. 
 
The Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk, Finance Officer, Community Engagement Officer, and Admin Assistant work from our office in Ripley Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley. This office is open Monday to Friday, 10am - 3pm. 
 
We also employ a Caretaker at Greenwich Community Sports Hub

Hannah Curzon Town Clerk townclerk@ripleytowncouncil.gov.uk  

Hannah has worked for Ripley Town Council since 2018, starting as Deputy Town Clerk. She was educated in Ripley and lives here with her family. In late 2024, she qualified for the Certificate in Local Council Administration and was promoted to Town Clerk in January 2025. She is responsible for ensuring that the instructions of the Council in its functions as a Local Authority are carried out. She is accountable to the Council for the effective management of all its resources.

Jayne Simpson  Responsible Finance Officer &  Secretary to the Ripley Recreation Ground Charity 

Jayne started her role in May 2022. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding the local government sector. Jayne was voted Derbyshire Clerk of the Year in 2020 in her previous role as Clerk at Blackwell Parish Council. She is responsible for implementing the council's Financial Regulations and ensuring that the council's income and expenditure is maintained in line with the approved annual budget. 
 
Jayne is also responsible for ensuring all actions of the Ripley Recreation Ground Charity are carried out and lawful. 

Fiona Barrett Deputy Clerk deputyclerk@ripleytowncouncil.gov.uk 

Fiona joined our team in the summer of 2022 as Admin Assistant. In late 2024, she obtained the Introduction in Local Council Administration, gaining her a promotion to Deputy Clerk in January 2025. She supports the Town Clerk and manages the operational side of Greenwich Community Sports Hub. 

Lisa Watson Admin Assisant  admin@ripleytowncouncil.gov.uk  Lisa joined our team on a temporary basis in January 2025. She provides administration support to the Ripley Town Council office and Greenwich Community Sports Hub, on Nottingham Road in Ripley.  

Bradd Farnsworth Community Engagement Officer  community@ripleytowncouncil.gov.uk  Bradd joined our team in November 2024. His role focuses on strengthening the relationship between the Council and the residents of Ripley. He is instrumental in fostering community involvement, ensuring that local voices are heard, and organising community events, mainly the Ripley Spring Market, Outdoor Cinema, Christmas Market & Lights Switch on, plus other events throughout the year, for our residents.
