Queen's Jubilee Celebrations 2022
Let's celebrate this historical event as a community!
In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. Get involved in celebrating Her Majesty’s historic reign.
We are encouraging the Ripley Township to come together as a community to hold a celebration. Whether it be a party at your home, or in your garden or a street party, like in the good old days!
The whole country is fortunate to have extra Bank Holiday days for the celebrations - Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June 2022.
We are thrilled to announce that we are able to allocate funding to community groups to organise a celebration in the Ripley Township.

Ripley Town Council are providing financial grants to local groups in the Ripley Township that may like to organise a community themed celebration or a street party over this Bank Holiday weekend.
Tips for organising a street party
This guide provides information on road closures, charges, playing music, insurance and fundraising – alongside links to organisations who offer further support. It also addresses some of the popular myths surrounding street parties.
You can use the application form on the website to let your local council (Amber Valley Borough Council / Derbyshire County Council) know about your plans and apply for a road closure.
