Paul was first elected to Ripley Town Council in 2015. He is also a member of Amber Valley Borough Council and Derbyshire County Council.
Paul is married with one child and lives in Marehay. He works in Intellectual Property and Commercialisation at the University of Derby and is also Chair of Governors at Lons Infant School in Ripley. Prior to this, Paul was a caseworker for Nigel Mills MP, helping constituents with a wide range of issues.
